Don't forget!

PreK-4th grade enjoyed a performance by Dino O'Dell. He sang and told stories about space and the solar system. The kids loved it! A big thanks to the Robinson Library District for bringing Dino to OES! We loved it!

Parents,
Today Oblong High School conducted our ACT testing for freshmen, sophomore, and junior students. ACT experienced some technical problems that delayed the start of our testing. Most students were able to complete their testing today, but unfortunately some students were not able to get finished. OHS will be working with ACT to schedule a make-up date for the students that were affected. If you have any questions, please contact me at 618-592-4235.
Sincerely
Andy Julian
Oblong High School Principal

Last week, OHS students Jay Dix and Logann Baker were selected to participate in State Senator Chapin Rose’s Youth Advisory Council. They met with Senator Rose, toured the Capitol Building and participated in a mock committee hearing with other students from the area. Jay and Logann won the Senator’s Capitol photo contest and will have their photo displayed in the Senator’s office! Thanks to Senator Rose for this incredible opportunity!

After learning about proper formatting for business letters, OHS Computer Applications students sent fan letters to businesses, celebrities, etc. in hopes of receiving replies. This week, two responses came in. Lucas Blessing received a letter and museum tickets from Louisville Slugger and Thomas Stigler received a letter and two autographed pictures from his favorite football team, The Steelers.

Thank you, Mrs. Gill and Mrs. Eubank!

State Testing at OHS is Tuesday, April 8.
