November 6, 2009

A special meeting of the Board of Education of Oblong Community Unit School District #4 was held on November 6, 2009 in the Elementary Library. The meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m. by President Poehler with the following members physically present: Bailey, Pinkston, Sparks, Higgins, Musgrave, and Poehler.

Motion by Sparks and seconded by Bailey to appoint Larry Bush as our hearing officer to hear student discipline cases. Roll call vote: Bailey – yea, Pinkston – yea, Sparks – yea, Higgins – yea, Musgrave – yea, Poehler – yea. Motion carried.

Motion by Higgins and seconded by Musgrave to go into closed session at

6:01 P.M. to consider student discipline. Roll call vote: Bailey – yea, Pinkston – yea, Sparks – yea, Higgins – yea, Musgrave – yea, Poehler – yea. Motion carried.

Motion by Bailey and seconded by Higgins to return to open session at

6:30 P.M. Roll call vote: Bailey – yea, Pinkston – yea, Sparks – yea, Higgins – yea, Musgrave – yea, Poehler – yea. Motion carried.

Motion by Sparks and seconded by Pinkston to approve closed session minutes of 11/06/09. Roll call vote: Bailey – yea, Pinkston – yea, Sparks – yea, Higgins – yea, Musgrave – yea, Poehler – yea. Motion carried.

Motion by Poehler and seconded by Pinkston to accept the agreement pending school discipline as presented. Roll call vote: Bailey – yea, Pinkston – yea, Sparks – yea, Higgins – yea, Musgrave – yea, Poehler – yea. Motion carried.

Motion by Sparks and seconded by Higgins to adjourn at 6:31 P.M. Roll call vote: Bailey - yea, Pinkston – yea, Sparks – yea, Higgins – yea, Musgrave – yea,
